Brandon Kapitan is an experienced compliance consultant with a background in financial and accounting compliance.
A Chartered Financial Analyst, Brandon has an in-depth understanding of strategy and portfolio management including managing client risk for a broad range of strategies. At Waystone Compliance Solutions, Brandon oversees compliance programmes for clients and spearheads many accounting and position-related filings, including 13F, 13G, PF and CPR/PQR. In addition, Brandon implements key annual review testing for valuation and allocations and manages broker-dealer accounting filing obligations including NAV capital calculations.
Previously, Brandon held the position of Associate at Lakeside Wealth Management. Brandon’s role at Lakeside comprised portfolio management, onboarding accounts and managing relations with prime brokers. While at Lakeside, Brandon was responsible for trading, operations and analysis as well as assisting the compliance team with oversight of the firm’s compliance programme.
Brandon holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter, together with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Purdue University. In addition, Brandon has passed the Series 27.
