Mohsin Ismail
Executive Director, Head of Fintech and Onshore Consultancy
Mohsin joined the team in 2018 and is part of our Senior Management Team, leading the onshore and fintech team.
Mohsin supports firms with their day-to-day compliance needs as well as risk assessments, regulatory investigations, remediation projects, ad-hoc compliance advice, gap analysis, drafting policies and procedures, implementation of systems and controls and providing guidance on how to navigate the regulatory environment.
Mohsin also assists firms with obtaining regulatory approval and licensing in the different free zones and within mainland UAE, as well as acting as the outsourced CO/MLRO and RO.
Mohsin supports a wide range of firms, including foreign exchange and CFD providers, asset and fund managers, crypto exchanges/custodians, payment services, brokerages, exchange houses, banks, and crowdfunding platforms.
Mohsin’s compliance career began in 2011 as a compliance analyst before progressing to Assistant Compliance Manager. In 2014 he joined the UK’s regulator as an Associate in the Enforcement and Supervision Team. In 2016 Mohsin joined a large broker, where he was the Deputy Head of Compliance/MLRO and Head of Client Money Oversight (CF10a). In 2017 Mohsin assumed the role of Head of Compliance/MLRO for an international investment company before moving to Dubai and joining Waystone Compliance Solutions Middle East.
