Billy Colton joined Waystone as an Executive Director in November of 2024 and is based in the New York office. Billy brings over 12 years of industry experience, most recently as a Vice President at Goldman Sachs (GS) and Blackstone (BX), where he led compliance testing efforts across Investment Advisors. At GS and BX, Billy was responsible for risk assessments, compliance testing and monitoring, remediation and reporting, 206(4)-7 annual compliance review letters, regulatory examination support, training and oversight.
Prior to GS and BX, Billy began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in the Forensic Advisory Group, focusing on class action settlements, investigations and disaster recovery for numerous Financial Services and Fortune 500 clients.
Billy holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting from Fordham University, a Master of Science (MS) in Taxation from Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
