      Marc Reaidi is a compliance professional with extensive asset and fund management regulatory experience and a focus on the implementation of compliance frameworks, including the drafting of policies and procedures. Marc uses his in-depth knowledge and experience to provide solutions-oriented advice and support to a wide range of clients.

      Marc joined the ADGM outsourcing team in 2021, using his extensive knowledge base to provide day-to-day compliance support to FSRA regulated firms. Marc’s area of expertise covers internal controls, compliance oversight and risk management.  In addition to his outsourced compliance and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (“MLRO”) roles, Marc provides authorisation support and undertakes AML and compliance projects such as conducting AML reviews and risk assessments for firms in the ADGM, the DIFC and financial firms incorporated onshore in the UAE.

      Previously, Marc worked as a Senior Consultant with an ADGM licensed compliance consultancy organisation where his role included assisting clients to obtain their regulatory authorisations and licenses, as well as acting as the outsourced Compliance Officer and MLRO. Previously, Marc was Acting Head of Compliance and MLRO with Qatar First Bank (“QFB”), a public Islamic bank regulated by the QFCRA.  Reporting directly to the Audit, Risk, and Compliance Committee, Marc acted as MLRO and advised senior management and the Board of Directors on a wide range of regulatory matters. Marc liaised closely with regulators to ensure compliance with QFCRA and QFMA.  In addition, Marc was responsible for client onboarding and managing all Suspicious Activity Reports (“SARs”). During his time at QFB, Marc was involved in the formulation and ongoing management of the overall compliance programme, including the drafting of policies and procedures, managing the training programmes and KYC.

      Marc spent nearly four years with Deloitte in Doha, joining in 2013. In his role as Internal Auditor and Compliance Officer, Marc gained extensive experience in internal control structures, risk management, corporate governance and compliance within the Middle East region.

      Marc holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Studies from the Lebanese American University. He is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (“CAMS”), Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Information Security Auditor, Certified Project Management Professional (“PMP”), Certified Management Accountant (“CMA”), Certified Financial Risk Manager (“FRM”) and holds the CISI – DIFC, QFC, UAE, CMA and QFMA Rules Certificates.

      Recent work includes:

      • Outsourced as the Compliance Officer and MLRO for fund management and asset management firms regulated by the FSRA
      • Providing regulatory advice to firms planning to provide financial services within the ADGM and carrying out the required authorisation process with the regulator
      • Assisting regulated firms in meeting their Data Protection regulatory obligations
      • Delivering compliance and AML training to regulated firms
      • Providing ad hoc compliance support requests for authorised firms across various categories
      • Advisor to the senior management and the board to ensure compliance with the relevant regulatory obligations
      • Drafting of policies, procedures and regulatory manuals.
