Finance Officer – Senior Associate
Rowena Sabado joined the team in 2023 as Senior Associate for Finance Officer Services and has over 15 years of experience in accounting and finance.
In her current role, Rowena is primarily involved in Finance Officer support, accounting control, and reporting of regulated entities, preparing and reviewing financial projections under the DFSA/FSRA regulatory authorisation applications, providing training sessions on regulatory financial compliance rules, developing finance and accounting policies, and delivering regulatory finance advisory to clients.
Previously, Rowena worked as an outsourced Finance Manager at Rethink ME Ltd – Dubai Branch, where she performed outsourced finance officer roles for DFSA authorised entities and coordinated and executed end-to-end financial services, accounting, tax, and systems implementation projects in several UAE companies, including DIFC and ADGM firms. She took a short break from consultancy and moved to internal finance with EER Business Services DMCC before joining Waystone.
Rowena earned her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Northern Philippines and is a Certified Public Accountant.
